Powder Mecca – So called for the abundance of superior quality snow and the length of the snow season, it’s no surprise Niseko Village attracts regular skiing and boarding visitors to the resort wanting to experience for themselves this zenith of skiing in Japan.

Don’t worry if you don’t know your moguls from your black diamonds, Niseko isn’t just great for advanced skiers, the Niseko Village Snow School is a Ski Association of Japan accredited snow school offering internationally certified multi-lingual ski and snowboard instructors, trainers and demonstrators. And could there be a better place to learn than somewhere world renowned for having some of the best and longest powder skiing and snowboarding terrain in the country? For those of you spending your holidays in Japan with children aged between 3 to 12 years, there is the Niseko Kids Snow School, innovatively designed to ensure a fun learning experience for your young ones with either private or group ski and snowboard lessons.

Rafting, Hot Air Balloons, Reindeers and More - Aside from the call of the piste, Niseko has no shortage of family-friendly activities that will keep the kids entertained year-round and give plenty of opportunities for family time as well as Instagram’able moments. Winter highlights include area exploration on a snowmobile, high-thrills snow rafting and for the ultimate winter-wonderland experience there is nothing quite like a reindeer sledding excursion. Make-the-most of summer activities include mountain biking, white water river rafting, tree trekking and zip-lining high in the canopy. For a summer moment that won’t be forgotten a hot air balloon flight or a horseback trail ride promises a unique perspective of pretty Mount Niseko and the surrounds.

The Niseko Village Golf Course offers a real Hokkaido nature experience with spectacular views of Mount Yotei and the surrounding mountain ranges. Whatever level you’re at the course offers something to suit all golfers on this self-play 18-hole, par 73, 6845-yard course. Alternatively, if you’re looking for even more of a challenge, the Niseko Golf Course, with its numerous elevation changes is an 18-hole, par 72, 6805-yard course with well-placed ponds and tee-shots facing the stunning Mount Yotei.

Dining at Niseko – At this Japanese Ski resort it’s as much about great cuisine as it is about the outdoor activities.
